Sales/Account Executive

Position Overview:

This Account Manager role has the overall responsibility of ensuring that the assigned and new Ivionics clients' in-scope technologies and technology services are operating at maximum productivity and efficiency levels. The objective at every assigned client is to deliver and optimize the client's Information Technology functions through the use of Ivionics managed services, onsite support, remote support, project management and consulting services wherever and whenever possible. In addition, the Account Manager will perform business development activities for existing and prospective clients, and to perform the necessary due diligence within Ivionics and the client as necessary to make the appropriate recommendations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the client relationship manager at assigned and new clients, and is the liaison between the company and client in-order to ensure that all in-scope technology service delivery targets and requirements are met
  • Performs business development functions where necessary to ensure that existing and prospective clients needs are matched with Ivionics services and capabilities in all relevant areas of our operation
  • Understand each client’s business and technology environments to a point where advisory services and business requirements gathering can be performed for initiatives to improve the clients’ technology/business
  • Identifies and accurately estimates new managed service or project initiatives, and assists in the development of Statement of Work documents for the client
  • Coordinates and manages all approved client projects from initiation through delivery, including ensuring that billable projects are completed on schedule and within budget
  • Escalates any identified project scope change to the client and internal Ivionics management, provides time, cost, and/or operational impact analysis of that change, prepares the appropriate Change Orders, and obtains the necessary internal and client approvals to implement the change
  • Acts as a primary escalation resources for any technology-related issues that surface at a client as outlined in the Problem Management process
  • Works with the relevant internal Ivionics management to develop client strategy plans as necessary
  • Assists in forecasting Service Delivery resource needs for both short-term and long-term client initiatives
  • Prepares and delivers weekly status reports to internal management and the client (if applicable) on the state of each assigned client
  • Prepares monthly service reports for each assigned client to ensure service levels are being met or exceeded
  • Identify where service levels are not being met and prepare remediation recommendations to relevant Ivionics management teams to rectify
  • Maximizes the billability (both billable hours and rate compared to total hours worked) for this role as defined in the documented Yearly Performance Goals & Objectives
  • Operates under minimal supervision
  • Performs other duties as required and assigned
  • Participates in networking events to promote Ivionics offering and engage new opportunities
  • Create and maintain pipeline on existing client opportunities and new prospects




  • Associates degree with an IT-related discipline preferred
  • Minimum (3) years full-time experience in managing clients and relationship as it relates to IT
  • Proven knowledge/competency in the below technical skills requirements. Any sales certification in one or more of IT related skills or vendors is desired
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to interact effectively with all levels of colleagues and clients, up to and including Executive management
  • Must be able to travel to assigned client locations for meetings as necessary, and be available as requested by clients
  • Must be able to work well as a self-starter, and be able to work well independently and in a team environment


Technical Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Working knowledge and understanding of networking (LAN & WAN) architecture and equipment (cabling, firewalls, switches, IP telephony, etc.).
  • Ability to learn and support several custom and proprietary software programs (i.e. ERP, CRM, DM, CM, etc.)
  • Proficiency in the use and administration of project management and service delivery tools
